Entry Level Qualifications for a Store Clerk:

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Be at least 19 years of age
• Be able to legally work in Canada
• Be able to provide excellent customer service
• Be able to understand and communicate effectively in English
• Be able to demonstrate aptitude for cashier and related duties, including calculations
• Be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 20-25 kg boxes
• Be willing to handle large volumes of non-sterilized empty bottle returns, including operating machinery

Auxiliary positions are on-call, which means that hours of work are not guaranteed and will be subject to availability. Initially, you may not work a full 35 hour week. As you work more hours, you’ll gain more seniority, allowing more opportunities for more hours of work. An auxiliary position is not a permanent full-time position.

Wholesale Customer Centre

The Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) Wholesale Customer Centre processes wholesale product orders and operates a convenient direct delivery or pick up service for registered wholesale customers. Wholesale customers consist of over 8,400 Licensee Customers (Restaurants, Hotels, Pubs and Bars), Duty Free Shops and Private Wine Stores, which retail to consumers. The LDB Wholesale Customer Centre staff are dedicated to excellent customer service, knowledge of the LDB wholesale catalogue, and issue resolution regarding product ordering and delivery. The Wholesale Customer Centre has a unique warehouse and office environment - our Wholesale Customer Service Associates work in a variety of roles ranging from call centre customer service, online ordering, returns, order checking and shipping.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Be at least 19 years of age

• Strong computer skills
• Be able to understand and communicate effectively in English
• Be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 20-25 kg boxes repetitively.
