All stores are closed on statutory holidays except for a few that are open on Easter Monday, Victoria Day (May), Canada Day (July 1), BC Day (August), Labour Day (September), Thanksgiving (October), Remembrance Day (November 11) and Boxing Day (December 26). The stores open on the selected holidays include Alberni & Bute (downtown Vancouver), 39th & Cambie (Vancouver), Park Royal (West Vancouver), Whistler Village and Kelowna Orchard Park.

Signature Stores offer a greater selection of products and have product consultants available to assist customers. VQA Advocate stores carry a wider selection of VQA wines. Rural Agency Stores are privately-owned general merchandise stores, in smaller communities, authorized to carry a limited selection of liquor for sale.
