2020 PREMIUM SPIRIT RELEASE

PRE-ORDER ONLINE OCTOBER 23 TO 25

 

The 2020 Premium Spirit Release features an amazing selection of whiskies and highly sought-after spirits from around the world. In addition to the wide range of whiskies offered, there are limited edition Cognacs, single estate tequilas, amazing rums, and decadent liqueurs.

 

This year’s collection of premium spirits is an opportunity to explore the ever-changing world of whisky and spirits. These unique products will appeal to both the budding enthusiast and the avid collector.

 

The broadest selection of product will be featured at the 39th & Cambie and Park Royal Signature BC Liquor Stores. Most products will be available at select BC Liquor Stores. Due to limited availability of some of the most sought-after products, bottle restrictions may apply.

 

This year, to keep our customers and our staff safe, and to help facilitate physical distancing, we have separated the Premium Spirit Release offerings into the three segments.

 

  • The first is an online draw for the chance to purchase a whisky from The Collectables; a range of extremely limited, older whiskies.

  • The second is the online pre-order segment for products that have limited inventory and are highly sought-after. Online pre-orders will start at 8:00 a.m. on October 23 through to 11:59 p.m. on October 25 on a first come first serve basis. Bottle limits will apply for all pre-order products.

  • The third is on November 14th, the Premium Spirit Release Day, there will be a wide range of amazing whiskies, rums, gins and cognacs offered for in-store purchase to intrigue any spirit lover. Participating stores will have special opening hours to provide early access to shoppers starting at 7:00 a.m. As well, we will not be permitting any line ups prior to November 14 (see line up rules for more information). As we conduct this year’s release as safely as possible, we ask for your patience and understanding.

 

Please note that the Pappy Van Winkle products will not be available in this year’s release. Stay tuned for more information in the new year for your chance to purchase these highly sought-after bourbons.

STEPS TO PARTICIPATE:

 
  • Check out the Premium Spirit Release brochure online or in-store.
  • From October 23 at 8:00 a.m. to October 25 11:59 p.m., submit your pre-order form.
  • From November 14 to November 22, bring your confirmation number to your selected store location to pay and pick up your pre-order.

 

ONLINE PRE-ORDER PROCESS:

 

Starting Friday, October 23 at 8:00 a.m., you may place your pre-order online. All pre-order products will be available on a first come first serve basis with bottle limits. You may select your pick-up location (see list of participating stores above) to view all the products allocated to that store. You will also need to indicate your pick up date.

 

Due to the limited quantities available, not all pre-order requests may be fulfilled. Some products may be sold out and unavailable to order, these products may be marked as “Not Available” in the order form. You will receive email communication regarding the status of your pre-order (this does not mean that your entire pre-order request will be fulfilled). The online pre-order forms will close on Sunday, October 25 at 11:59 p.m.

 

Please note: one pre-order per person. Once you have submitted your pre-order, you will not be able to submit another order for another store, nor edit your order.

 

The pick-up window for pre-orders begin on Saturday, November 14 and ends on Sunday, November 22. Spirit Release shoppers will be given early access to the store on release day (November 14 at 7:00 a.m.). Customers are asked to follow their requested pick up date. Unclaimed pre-orders will be returned to store inventory and placed on the sales floor the following day.

 

To pick up, ensure you have the following ready:

 
  • Your pre-order confirmation number
  • 2 pieces of identification* (one must be a government-issued photo ID and include proof of legal drinking age)
    *Name on ID must match name on the pre-order form submitted
 

Products that are not indicated in the form,  the release day products, will be available for in-store shopping on November 14 at 7:00 a.m.

 

The Pappy Van Winkle products will not be available in this year’s release. Stay tuned for more information in the new year for your chance to purchase these highly sought-after bourbons.
