Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about BC Liquor Stores.

 

PRODUCTS

Products are not available for ordering online. You may purchase products featured on this site at BC Liquor Stores and agency stores. Product selection and availability vary from store to store. To search for a product and the BC Liquor Stores locations that carry the product, please use our product search and inventory locator.

Please use the search function in our online product catalogue. The product detail page for any product will include a "Where to Buy" tab that shows all stores carrying the product. Please note that, as the data is updated periodically, we recommend you call the BC Liquor Store in advance to verify availability.

You can return any product purchased at BC Liquor Stores with a valid receipt or gift receipt to any BC Liquor Store.

  • it must be no more than 60 days since the date of purchase;
  • the product must be in saleable condition;
  • refunds will be processed in the original method of tender; returns made with gift receipts will be processed on a gift card.

DISTRIBUTION

Establishments that serve liquor are licensed by the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch (LCLB). For more information, please visit the LCLB website at www.pssg.gov.bc.ca/lclb/ or call 1-866-209-2111 within BC.

To distribute liquor products in BC Liquor Stores, you must (1) register your product for sale in British Columbia with the LDB's Wholesale department and (2) obtain a listing with BC Liquor Stores. For more information about distributing products as an agent/supplier in BC, please see our Agents and Suppliers page on our corporate website. Suppliers outside of Canada are required to have a contractual agreement with a local representative (agent) who represents them on all matters related to importing and distributing their product in the province. Any prospective supplier and agent may obtain a package of information that provides details on rules, regulations, procedures and policies pertaining to the acquisition of products for sale in British Columbia and BC Liquor Stores.

CALL & COLLECT

The Call & Collect program is a service that allows customers to place an order by calling our dedicated line at 1-888-544-0019. Once our product specialist team has confirmed the details, we will arrange for your order to be ready for pickup at participating BC Liquor Stores. 

For now, this service is launched only at the following BC Liquor Stores:

  1. Search for the products you’re looking to order on our website. Note down the SKU number of these products, and check if the products are in-stock at a participating BC Liquor Store by clicking on “where to buy.”
  2. Call our Call & Collect line at 1-888-544-0019, which is open from Monday to Saturday (excluding Statutory Holidays) between 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST and on Sundays and Statutory Holidays between 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM PST.  A product specialist team member will take your order and provide you with further details.
  3. Every week from Monday to Saturday (excluding Statutory Holidays), If the order is placed before 4:00 PM PST, it will be ready for pickup on the same day, 4 hours after customer receives order number from the product specialist team. If the order is placed on or after 4:00 PM PST, it will be ready for pickup on the next calendar day.
  4. For Sundays and Statutory Holidays, if the order is placed before 1:00 PM PST, it will be ready for pickup on the same day, 4 hours after the customer receives the order number from the product specialist team. If the order is placed on or after 1:00 PM PST, it will be ready for pickup on the next calendar day.
  5. Visit the store indicated on the order, and provide your name and order number at our customer service counter. Please ensure you visit during store business hours.
  6. Customers may be required to show two pieces of government-issued ID that matches one of the two names on the order (person who ordered or an alternate pick-up person).
  7. Pay for the items, and you’re all set!
  • Convenience – It’s simple and saves time! Order through your phone and pick up at your local store.
  • Same-Day Pickup – Your items will be ready for pickup on the same day, if the order is placed
    • Before 4:00 PM PST on Monday to Saturday (excluding Statutory Holidays)
    • Before 1:00 PM PST on Sunday and Statutory Holidays
  • Secure Storage – Our stores will keep your order in a secure spot until the end of the next calendar day, from the day order was placed.

Total order value must be $50 or more (before taxes and container deposit) for this service. There are no fees.

No, we encourage customers to visit the BC Liquor Stores website and check if the products are in-stock at a participating BC Liquor Store by clicking on “where to buy”. Alternatively, you can call our product specialist team at 1-888-544-0019.

Although we try our best to keep up-to-date information on inventory and pricing for products on our website, there is sometimes a lag between inventory information reported by our stores across BC and the information that is updated on our BC Liquor Stores website.

  • Every week from Monday to Saturday (excluding Statutory Holidays), if the order is placed before 4:00 PM PST, it will be ready for pickup on the same day, 4 hours after the customer receives the order number from the product specialist team.
