Ember Veil
This smoky, burnt-amber tequila cocktail evokes Halloween through its glowing, fire-kissed citrus and herbaceous char—capturing warmth, shadow and restraint without slipping into cliché. For best results, use Teremana Reposado Tequila. Ingredients
Serves 1
2 oz (60 ml) Teremana Reposado Tequila
1 oz (30 ml) fresh orange juice
½ oz (15 ml) Honey Syrup*
2 dashes orange bitters
1 sprig fresh rosemary, for garnish
1 slice orange, for garnish
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, orange juice, Honey Syrup and bitters. Fill with ice and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into an old-fashioned glass over fresh ice. For garnish, use a kitchen torch to lightly char rosemary sprig and orange slice, then add to cocktail and serve.
- *1:1 ratio of honey dissolved in boiling water. Allow to cool before using.
