Summer Spirit Release Summer Spirit Release

2017 BORDEAUX RELEASE

PRE-ORDER SEPTEMBER 8 TO 13

On September 26, 2020, BC Liquor Stores will release the 2017 Bordeaux vintage. The collection will be available at select BC Liquor Store locations in limited quantities. Bottle (quantity) limit may apply.

To keep our customers and our staff safe, we have moved a portion of the 2017 Bordeaux to an online pre-order system. Customers have the opportunity to pre-order some of their favourite products from the release on a first come, first serve basis in advance of the September 26th release date, mitigating the need for large gatherings and line-ups. Only products with bottle limits/ limited SKUs will be available for pre-order online.

The remaining portion that is not on pre-order / unlimited SKUs will be available on the sales floor starting September 26th at 7:00 a.m. Participating stores will open at 7:00 a.m. on September 26th to provide early access to shoppers.

STEPS TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Check out the 2017 Bordeaux Release brochure and pick your favourites.
  • Between September 8 at 8 a.m. (PT) and September 13 at 11:59 pm (PT) visit our website to submit your pre-order. (Pre-orders will be accepted only on a first come, first serve basis)
  • Between September 26 and October 4, bring your confirmation number to your preferred store location to pick up and pay for your products.

*See further details below.

ONLINE PRE-ORDER PROCESS:

Starting Tuesday, September 8 at 8 a.m. (PT), you may place your pre-orders online. All limited quantity products will be available on a first come, first serve basis on the online pre-order form. You may select your pick-up location (see list of participating stores below) and view all the products allocated to that store. You will also need to indicate your pick up date.

Due to limited quantities, some products may be sold out and unavailable to order, these products will be marked as “Not available” in the order form. Also due to limited quantities, we may not be able to fulfill your order. Please look out for a confirmation or cancellation email. Online pre-orders will close on Sunday, September 13 at 11:59 p.m.

Please note: one order per person. Once you have submitted an order request, you will not be able to submit another order for another store, nor edit your order.

Stores will process all pre-orders on a first come, first serve system.

The pick up window starts on Saturday, September 26 at 7:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday, October 4 at store closing. Bordeaux shoppers are given early access to the store on release day. Customers are asked to pick up only on the day they indicated on the webform to manage store traffic. We will only hold products until the end of the selected pick up day. Unclaimed products will be put back in inventory the following day.

To pick up, ensure you have the following ready:
• Your order request number
• 2 pieces of identification (one must be a government-issued photo ID)*

* We will verify the name on the ID as it matches the order form submitted.

  • No product holds allowed.

  • Quantities on the BC Liquor Stores website will be blocked until all orders are claimed. Quantities will be displayed starting October 4.

  • Stores participating in the release may be busy serving customers and may not be able to monitor phone calls.

  • Please note that our stores are reinforcing physical distancing measures to keep everyone safe. Expect that there might be line ups.

Because of the pandemic, BC Liquor Stores will be carrying out a portion of the release online to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. 94 of the 181 products will be available online to pre-order from September 8 to 13th. The remaining products will be available on the sales floor for purchase on September 26th (please see brochure for product list). We ask that customers not line up earlier than September 26th.

Similar to lining up in stores, first come first serve online will mean that customers who are first to submit their pre-order forms will have a higher chance of being allocated product. However, due to limited quantities, we may not be able to fulfill your order/ a part of your order. Please look out for a confirmation or cancellation email once our stores have had a chance to process the orders.

Product allocation varies per store so customers will be “virtually shopping” products available in each location. To ensure everyone who would like to purchase the 2017 vintage has a fair chance, we will only be taking one order per customer.

Due to technical issue with certain email providers, some users may not be able to receive our emails. We suggest you also check your spam/ junk folders.

Due to the limitations of the website, it will take a few moments for inventory to be adjusted as customers continue to place their pre-orders. Stores will fulfill orders based on customer’s ranking (how early they have submitted the form) and product availability. You will be notified via email on the status of your order prior to pick up dates. Please check your spam/ junk folders.

You may check other store locations for remaining product. Please note that you will not be able to view quantities online. Online inventory will only be available until the pick up window expires.

Unfortunately, not. Stores will need to manage customer traffic during the release period to ensure the best service possible. We are giving one full week for customers to pick up their pre-orders to space out the volume of customers going into our stores. We ask that you commit to your pick up schedule. All unclaimed products will be on the sales floor without any bottle restrictions the following day.

On top of the regular cleaning protocols, safe distancing, and managing the number of people entering the store, stores participating in the release will have special hours opening at 7:00 a.m. to cater exclusively to shoppers.
